Hardware products are heavy and can be expensive to buy and ship, so we like to help our customers select the right products for their projects, upfront, to avoid unnecessary shipping charges and potential damages that can result from the shipping return process. Returns

We accept returns for credit minus any shipping or service charges on many of the items we sell within 30 days of the original invoice. Restocking fees apply to all returned goods (see Tips for a Successful Return Trip below). All returns must be pre-approved, and an RMA (Return Materials Authorization) number given prior to shipment. Policy for Returns

Requests for return that are greater than 30 days from the original invoice/ shipment date will not be granted.

  1. Returns must be pre-approved, and a valid RMA number issued prior to shipping.
  2. Items must be in new and unused condition and returned in the original manufacturer’s packaging with all components and fasteners included. All items will be inspected upon receiving. Damaged or incomplete items will not be credited.
  3. All returned items are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee or $5.00 flat fee per like item; whichever is greater.
  4. Any and all shipping or service fees charged on the original order will not be credited. Additionally, any charges incurred by us for the return shipping will be deducted from any credit given.
  5. Return shipping and all associated charges are the responsibility of the purchaser; we highly recommend using a traceable means of shipping.
  6. Credit will not be issued for goods returned greater than 30 days after an RMA was issued.
  7. Borg Locks push button mechanical locks and any cut chain lengths (cut from the original barrel quantity) are not returnable.

 

Amount Refundable

All items are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee or minimum $5.00 charge; whichever is greater. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. Return items will be inspected for the above criteria and credit will only be give if all policies are met. Approved refunds are generally issued within 5 business days of receiving the returned items.

 

Refused Shipments at Time of Delivery

Orders that are refused at time of delivery where a shipping expense has been incurred by us, will be subject to no refund of the shipping charge to you and an additional charge for the shipping fee back to us. If for any reason you feel that a shipment is not acceptable, call us immediately at (800) 637-5427. In cases of damaged merchandise, these shipping charges will be waived if a successful claim can be filed against the shipper with your assistance.

 

Tips for a Successful Return Trip:

Item packaging deteriorates due to handling during shipment. When returning an item, it may not be sufficient or the best practice to pack it back into the box it came out of.

  1. Ensure all hardware items are wrapped sufficiently to protect them from other items in the box. This is important!
  2. Ensure any air space in the carton is filled with packing material to minimize movement of items in transit. Items that move can damage each other or tear through the box depending on how it is handled.
  3. Take a few pictures through the process in case something goes wrong in transit.
  4. Ensure all seams are taped on the return carton.
  5. Use a traceable and insured method of transporting items back to us.
